EPOXY-CR
Epoxy for Crack Maintenance

Overview

In these days when the magnification or enlargement of bridge, harbor, and building are being flourished due to the rapid development of industrial structure, the generation of crack which is the big disadvantage of concrete becomes a serious problem. As the solution of the problem is emerged inevitably, this is the injection method which can be performed simply at the construction site.

Application

Repairing the crack of civil/architectural sites’ concrete structure and slab surface

Characteristics

  1. Application work is simple and adhesive force is excellent.
  2. Cost is inexpensive and economical.
  3. It is a high elastic material with the air-tightness, water tightness.

Application Method

  1. Confirm the direction, state, length, width, and depth of the crack.
  2. Clear the working section with wire brush etc.
  3. Secure the material with PUTTY, and then, seal the remaining section with the PUTTY except the injection port.
  4. Perform sufficient mixing of main EPOXY material and hardening agent.
  5. Perform the injection with cylinder (injector) and pressurizing device.
  6. When injection is completed, perform the removal of work stand and finishing work

Calculation of required quantity

  1. Crack width (mm)× Thickness (mm) = Usage per 1(mm) (㎏)
  2. Injection quantity per 1(mm)/ Length (m) = Usage per 1 work stand

Cautions

  1. As EPOXY is sensitive to the ambient temperature, adequately maintain the working time and required quantity.
  2. During the application work, the temperature of 15 °C ∼25 °C is the best for the work.
  3. During the work in the winter season, be cautious as the hardening time will be delayed.
  4. Be careful not to be stuck to the skin or clothes.
  5. Separate from the fire source
